Alaar, Magic Exterminator

Alaar is a veteran professional and an envoy of the council of elves. Their duty is to keep magic outbreaks at a minimal, so that balance can be maintained. Magic in this world is wild - natural disasters and cannot be controlled. Its source has to be routed out by physical means. This is Alaar's job. He happens to be really good at it but like most folk he's not terribly thrilled about his work. On his latest journey he's sent to clear off an outburst of magic in a forest that is escalating. On his way there he picks up a young prospect follower, Talo (from an earlier post) to become his teacher.
